As of now, this stands as my portfolio website. I’ve been creating and maintaining websites for over 8 years and I’ve learned so much along the way. In college, partially inspired by my marketing degree, I took an interest in the research and creation of niche websites. From there I switched gears to eCommerce stores leveraging Facebook advertising to sell products via dropshipping. After my dropshipping escapade ended, I went back to college to officially get a degree in computer science and delve deep into the programming aspect of web development as well as online research.
The thing about websites is.. most people understand what they can see and interact with. That’s why many of us love to use page builders since we can build some page in real time and get a web page closely aligned with our vision. However, even with page builders, the chasm of nuances within the builders and the code remains deep and wide. Every platform you use has a number of additional tools you need to learn to utilize. These tools work, within reason…, until there are specific things we would like to do that aren’t always straightforward or available to us. While society is slowly bridging the gap between coding and creating useful tools to actively create what lies in our imagination, the internet is too large and busy to get a clear idea on where to start, what step to take, and most importantly, what is going to be the most effective to ultimately achieve your goal and truly leverage what the internet can do for you and your business, impact, hobby, ambition.
